That acronym stands for The Grumpy, Grouchy Old Man’s Guide to Grammar, a book I’ve jokingly talked about writing. It’ll be perfect for everyone who likes Lynne Truss’ panda-grammar book (Eats, Shoots & Leaves — it’s a classic, beloved by grammar ninjas everywhere) but cannot help feeling sometimes that she’s just too nice.
Actually, GGOMGG will be much like the “grammar rants” I post here on my blog, only more… orderly. I mean, organized. With fewer tangents in the rants. Probably. The levels of sarcasm, snark, and angry hand waving ought to be about the same, though. The point is, it’s going to be a real thing, not just something I threaten everyone with.
