I’m sorry, but I look at this and think, Did the author write so badly on purpose? How can anyone accidentally make that many punctuation errors in so small a space? (I would not read a book that had a blurb like this one. Maybe that makes me a very bad person, an unforgivable Grammar Snob, but I don’t care.)
I see no way to fix this without changing the words themselves, although getting rid of that semicolon is a good start… Perhaps “a compilation of stories to warm the cockles of the heart” would work — sort of.
