We have a BLURB!

Today, sci-fi author Paul B. Spence shared the back-cover blurb for his latest novel, The Sleeping and the Dead.

A Daring Mission into the Heart of Darkness…

The war against the horrific Theta entities reaches new heights as the Sentient Concord is forced to fight on multiple fronts against both the struggling Earth Federation and the Wolf Empire.

Commander Hrothgar Tebrey is at the forefront of those battles, bringing the fight to the enemy again and again. He is the last hope of humanity, the only person who can consistently stand up to the Thetas and win. But never-ending war takes its toll. Tebrey knows he needs to take the fight to the Thetas if there is to be any hope for the future.

The Thetas think they are invulnerable, but they have a fatal flaw: One of their own has turned back from the darkness, and he knows where to strike against the Thetas to end the war forever.

About Thomas Weaver

For several years, I’ve been putting my uncanny knack for grammar and punctuation, along with an eclectic mental collection of facts, to good use as a Wielder of the Red Pen of Doom (editor). I'm physically disabled, and I currently live with my smugly good-looking twin Paul, who writes military science fiction and refuses to talk about his military service because he can’t. Sometimes Paul and I collaborate on stories, and sometimes I just edit whatever he writes. It's worked out rather well so far. My list of non-writing-related jobs from the past includes librarian, art model, high school teacher, science lab gofer… Although I have no spouse or offspring to tell you about, I do have six cats. (The preferred term is "Insane Cat Gentleman.") I currently spend my time blogging, reading, editing, and fending off cats who like my desk better than my twin’s.

Also, I just put in all the comma mistakes in my comments to you just to see your left eye twitch.

      • Has been editing a NOVEL lately. Is not alarmed by your single missing comma in a blog comment. (Is only speaking in third person and without subject nouns/pronouns because he feels like it.) 🙂

    • Yeah, I remember noticing that, one of the times I was watching the clone play Skyrim. (Tangent: Earlier today, I saw some idjit claiming — well, strongly implying, anyway — that people who don’t play videogames are ‘unable to enjoy hobbies on their own’ and need to be around a lot of people all the time. So, basically, he’d insist I’m a raging extrovert because I don’t play videogames. So irony. Much stupid. Wow.) Thought it was an odd choice for a place name, but whatever. Maybe it was named for one of the sons of “Saint Drake.” (I just thought of that, so thanks for sparking the thought. I’ll have to remember to tell the clone — he’ll get a kick out of it.)
