Got a reply from another beta reader on Saturday. This person is not familiar with the previous books in the series (but said they now want to go back and read ’em), so their feedback lets us see where a reader could get lost due to either unclear plot, description, etc., or the reader not knowing enough about the characters to care or want to pay attention to what’s happening. Plenty of useful feedback from this beta reader. (Thanks, new beta-reader human, for helping my twin and me.)
…And then there’s what inspired the title for this post: It seems that the beta reader had a bit of trouble with an overly zealous auto-correct that decided, as soon as he typed the first three letters of a character’s name, it would just fill in the rest…, and thus there are comments in the beta reader’s replies about a character named George. (Don’t worry about this glitch, new beta reader: Paul and I thought it was funny.) There is no character named George in this novel or any others in the series… but there is a major “supporting cast” character named Geoffrey. 🙂
XD that may have been an auto-correct in my brain… At least I got the first three letters!
