Today’s first glitch:
The sentence is compound, so it needs a comma before the conjunction.
(Of all the style guides I could find, none of them say not to use a comma in a compound sentence. In fact, they all say such a comma is necessary. Funny how the ‘Commas are bad, m’kay?’ types have nothing to back up their side of the argument…)
“Your father died, and the galaxy went completely to hell. Rude.”
