Heard from one of our remaining beta readers yesterday morning. It seems that he’s demanding art as a bribe, or else he won’t send his replies to our questions about the manuscript… *wicked laughter* Little does he know that I was already thinking of the very art project he wants — and another one, too. (Was reminded of the second one because of a blog post I saw yesterday, in which the blogger shared a video clip of a frog and a bear on a road trip, singing.) Actually, this beta reader is just running a little bit behind schedule because he has a real life and stuff. We can trust him, I’m sure… because if he doesn’t come through with the answers to our questions, we’re gonna kill off the minor character we named after him. *more wicked laughter* Anyway, he says he’ll be done reading by the end of this weekend, which is close enough.
Here’s the requested “Tebrey and Hunter” mash-up of Calvin and Hobbes. (Hunter is a panther, not a tiger, but… *shrug* At least the scale is fairly accurate.) I’d considered using a “Spaceman Spiff” picture as the template instead, but I couldn’t find any that seemed right… Could have worked for a scene from the Vesuvius sequence in The Fallen, but I wanted something less dark, y’know?
